Nearly to the end of the month! How's the fic writing coming along today?

Would you have figured out that it didn't work w/o writing it first?

Probably not, in retrospect - it was one of those weird Socratic dialogues that occur specifically because I don't fully know what's going on (or, occasionally, because I know in far too much detail and obviously everybody in the world wants to know about the five types of Gallifreyan tea or whatever my brain's stuck on at present, so the characters must discuss it! At great length!). I certainly wouldn't have got to the new scene, which makes the same point in a much neater way for both the reader and the main character, from the earlier scene.
