WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 3 -- Friday

Hello on Friday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today?

•     I thought about my fic once or twice
•     I wrote
•     I did some planning and/or research
•     I edited
•     I've sent my fic off to my beta
•     I posted today!
•     I'm taking a break
•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

For Discussion:  Do you have a character who acts as your muse, who "speaks" to you more than others or tries to have a say, even when the fic isn't about them?

I do have a character who acts like a muse -- less so now, as I am expanding my writing to include other characters, but when I was writing exclusively about this character, I liked to refer to him as my muse. I have experienced different characters trying to "take over" the story when the fic isn't about them; it's usually a good idea to at least make notes, because the ideas are often intriguing!

I've had a character like this for well over a decade now. He's from an original work rather than fanfic, so I think it's safe to just say that he IS my muse. He even contributes to stories outside of the universe he comes from, and while he is better at providing content from his own perspective, he does offer useful insight into other characters and worldbuilding etc. And sometimes he just likes to chat. :P

Other characters from his universe do occasionally take over the spotlight, but he's been the most consistent presence.
