Discussion: world book day. Today is world book day, what is your favourite book? Do you write fic for book based fandoms?

I don't get to read books very often but when I do have the time and brains for it I re-read The BFG by Roald Dahl which has been a favourite of mine since primary school. I haven't done much fic for book based fandoms and although I have written fic for Rebus and Rizzoli & Isles I worked from the TV adaptations of those novels.

I may try to write this evening if I don't get distracted. So far today I've only been dealing with life!

I have quite a long list of favorite books, but the Big Favorite is Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. That is also the fandom I do the majority of my writing in. The interesting thing about LotR is that it is book based and movie based, but my writing is strictly book based. I do write in one other fandom, which is manga/anime based -- makes for interesting variety!
