We're half way through the month! How are things going? :)
Thought I'd change it up some since I don't have a paid account and can't create a pretty poll (ehehe, am I allowed to change it? :’D). The same concepts from the polls are here, though! :)
1.) How are you doing today?
-Are you having a good day or a bad day (and a good day doesn't necessarily mean a good writing day, we all know, so tell us how BOTH are going)?
-What’s your progress on your writing goal today? This can be:
-Word Count
-Planning
-Research
-Editing
-Something else specified in comments
-And how do you feel about your progress?
2.) What are the really, really great things that happened in your writing today?
(for example: “I totally nailed characterization today” or “This plot rocks so hard I’m going to burst my own ear drums”)
3.) What are the not so great things that you’re struggling with? How can your fellow writers try to help you today?
-What don’t you feel so successful about today (if anything)?
-Need someone to hold your hand? Cheerlead for you? Kick your @$$ to get motivated? Something along those lines. I’m sure I or any of your fellow writers will help where they can because we know the feeling. ;)
4.) Creative Corner
Feeling tired and frustrated and stumped on the next scene? Feeling excited and really proud and want to show off the good things you’re creating? Get your creative juices flowing or just brag on yourself!
-Today write a drabble (150 words or less) about your fic. This can be:
-A drabble on one of the characters you’re working on. Try to tell us what really makes him or her tick in 100 word. Or why you like this character so much in 100 words.
-A drabble just… about your fic (kind of like a summary, maybe?)
-A drabble about the relationship between one character to another
-A drabble about how much you’re frustrated with this fic and just want to throw it away but it clings to you like static electricity
-Be creative! Choose your own adventure
**Key words to use as prompts (but you don’t have to): apple, stars, caramel, McDonald’s, card table, book, night, glasses, slippers, breakfast, cabin, swim
**Key phrases to use as prompts (but you don’t have to): wine and dine, these old pair of shoes, the dreaming tree has died, can you hear me now?, the beast within, up the creek without a paddle, lipstick and mascara, all dressed up and…, poker night, tequila makes her clothes fall off, curl up around a good book
Too much? You don’t have to answer any of them. Just tell us "hi" and "what's up with you" and then peace out so you can write more!
Dumb ideas? Tell me and I'll try to make Day 18 more enjoyable and conducive to your fic finishing needs. :)
