Date: Tuesday, April 12th, 2016 19:42 (UTC)For me it totally depends on the canon that I'm workign with, for some of my fandoms I can pretty much go from memory and only consult the source to make sure I've got the right episode or characters. For others I have to review and make notes so that I keep myself right when I eventually start working on something especially if it's a what if variation of the canon events.
