Greetings! [personal profile] linaewen here to serve as your writing encouragement person for the next two weeks of the April WIP Challenge.

What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?
  •     I thought about my fic once or twice
  •     I wrote
  •     I did some planning and/or research
  •     I edited
  •     I've sent my fic off to my beta
  •     I posted today!
  •     I'm taking a break
  •     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment
Discussion - Have you ever discovered a story you started but forgot about?  Do you have WIPs that have been dormant so long you can't remember what to do with them?  If you found such a story, would you try to resurrect it, even if you couldn't remember your original plan?

I thought about writing today. I'm trying, but the words just won't flow. Probably a residual effect of yesterday's migraine. Ah well.

I save every fic that I start, even if all I type up is a single sentence. So I definitely forget things, then find them later and wonder what on earth I had planned. Often I do remember, but sometimes I'm mystified forever.

I have one multi-chaptered wip right now that I haven't worked on for about a year and I'm no longer sure what I had planned to do next, which is a shame because it was a fic for a rare-ish ship and I would have liked to finish it. I may end up scrapping it instead if I can't figure out where to go with it. Such is life.

I wrote. And I killed wasps in my garage (... again; they didn't learn from last year). But it's the writing I'm proud of, and I've got more I want to do before the day is over.

I'm pretty good about keeping track of what all I've written, and my directory structures, both here on DW and in my PC folders, are done up in such a way that I'm not likely to lose anything, but there have been a couple of "lost" stories I've found again over the years. Don't know what I'll do with them, but I've still got them. Writing should never be lost or wasted, IMO.
