It's day nine, fellow writers, and the weekend is half over. Has your Saturday been as busy as mine? Did you manage to get more than a dismal paragraph written?
Today, I have done:
- Writing
- Editing
- Sent fic to beta
- Post
- Planning and/or research
- Procrastinate
- Something else I will describe in comments.
Today it's time for a general fic chat post: How's the WIP progressing? Are you looking for a beta? Want to post a snippet of your WIP? Have other fic-related things you want to chat about? Are you getting what you need out of the community to help you with your writing? Tell us about your progress.

Date: Sunday, July 10th, 2011 15:19 (UTC)Still looking for a beta for the WIP. I asked again in fandom on Friday and so far no takers. Part of me thinks that it's the pairing that's putting people off :( if all my options fail I'll ask my friends on LJ and see if anyone is up for doing it.
Snippet - very rough unedited first draft of the prolouge
Detective Stabler was always too stubborn to walk away from the job and at times this put him at odds with everyone in the squad, not to mention IAB. His actions two days ago lead IAB to investigate him once more.
I knew from his affect when left after giving his statement after he shot Jenna Fox that he’d reached the end of his tenure with the unit, but I was shocked when I opened his letter of resignation on my desk this morning.
In some respects it’s the right time for him to move on and do other things with his life; he’s given over 22 years of exemplary service to the NYPD.
All I can do is wish him all the best in the next stage of his life, whatever he ends up doing.
