Date: Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 00:56 (UTC)As much as I try to be a serious 'ficcer, there are times when I've got to plant my tongue firmly in cheek and write silly stuff instead. I think the trick to that is to have the entire story be funny, and to then have that be a short so that it does not wear out its welcome too quickly. Writing humor into a longer story that might be otherwise be serious is ... quite a bit harder. I don't have any advice on that. Speaking from past experience: Sometimes, it works. Sometimes, it falls as flat as a lead balloon.
