Monday's here and with it, a whole new day to talk about our goal fics. :)
OK, and now, for today's questions: are the majority of your fics based on one genre? Do you ever write a genre that'd be considered the reverse of that? Is there a genre you wish you could try out but haven't?

Date: Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 04:12 (UTC)I guess most of my writing tends to be in fandoms that are based on classic literature -- Romeo & Juliet, and I wrote one in Northanger Abbey (Jane Austen) for Yuletide last year -- so they're historical fiction for me to write, even though they were contemporary when they were written by the original authors, since I do not live in Shakespearean or Regency England. But then I've written in 10th Kingdom, which is fairy tale/fantasy, and also 30 Rock which is . . . crackfic, pretty much by virtue of the show's nature. My original fiction tends to be historical fantasy romance.
So, historical fiction, I guess? But also a little fantastical sometimes. And I like drama! Melodrama, some might say. :P
As for genres I'd like to write in, is "finished" a genre? It really should be!
